BankTheFood
The free BankTheFood app provides real-time updates of which items we need.
On this page:
More people than ever are being driven to foodbanks and the sharp increase in people needing help is outstripping food donations.
Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in the Trussell community is donated by the public, and that’s why your donations are vital to ensure that we can continue to help the people in our community.
Our shopping list below shows food items we need right now.
We also always need paper carrier bags (the type with handles – must be clean and sturdy) and plastic carrier bags (the ‘for life’ type – must be clean) so we can deliver our food packages.
Got an Android or Apple phone? Why not try the Bank the Food app. You’ll get up-to-date information on your smartphone about what we need and where to drop it off. Find out more
What to donate
We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis. Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks to support their work particularly if they experience shortages. This ensures your donations go to help people wherever in the UK they are.
