A message from Ivybridge Food Bank

26th March 2020

Firstly can we say a huge thank you to all those who have donated food and money to help in these very different times – and to those who have offered help.

We haven’t been able to take up all your kind offers of help as we are working out, as we go, how to work safely within the Government guidelines. This essentially means having fewer people on site and planning the work flow differently. If we need extra help we will be in touch.

PLEASE – only use the food bank phone if you need a food parcel and have a red voucher or, in the event of not being able to get a voucher but feel you fit the criteria. Much as we’d like to extend help to all at this difficult time we are unable to help those who are house bound but not in food poverty. Please be in touch with the town council on 01752 893815 to get advice on this matter.

The food bank phone is not permanently manned and will only be answered between the hours of 9-12pm and 1-5pm. If we are unable to answer it please leave a message or send a text.

Your help enabling us get through these unprecedented times is greatly appreciated.
